FACING EAST GROUP CONCERTS
The Facing East Indian Jazz Fusion Ensemble creates
a harmonious blend of East Indian musical styles with
Western arrangements, harmony and instrumentation.
Founded on a deep love and respect for the traditional
East Indian music that serves as a source of inspiration,
gifted flutist and composer John
Wubbenhorst has created a large body of original
compositions that range in energy from meditative
to high-energy. The compositions are based around
the potential of East Indian music systems and the
bansuri flute. Listen to
the recordings of the Facing East Group.
FACING EAST TRIO CONCERTS
The Facing East Trio skillfully blends the textures
of the Indian bansuri with percussion and either bass,
guitar or keyboard. The Facing East Trio delights
the audience with their masterful renditions of original
music. At times meditative, at times exhilerating
and always soulful, the music uniquely blends traditional
Indian Ragas with western and other world elements.
