One of the most interesting aspects to music of this
type is the unusual effect obtained by using the throat
as a musical instrument. Subash Chandran, who, recognized
as one of the great exponents of this craft, has contributed
an overwhelming impact to some of these songs that touch
on many aspects of life and the deep religious convictions
of those living in this region.
