Humayun Khan

Afghan native Humayun Khan is known for his brilliant performances as a vocalist and harmonium player. Born to an artistic family, he was exposed to classical North Indian music from birth. He studied extensively with the great masters Ustad Vilayat Khan and Ustad Fateh Ali Khan. In performances he has played with many great artists such as Zakir Hussain, Anindo Chatterjee, Ramesh Mishra, Pandit Jasraj, Howard Levy and others. His talents are also heard on the soundtracks of the films "The Kama Sutra" and "The Journey". As a teacher he is well know for his expertise and deep knowledge of raga. His seminar "The Music of Rumi" is popular all over the world.
